Preface
The ARROW® VPS G4™ Device is an innovative and proprietary vascular navigation system. It combines intravascular electrocardiography (ECG), intravascular Doppler and a software algorithm. The system provides guidance to clinicians so the tips of central venous catheters (CVCs) and peripherally inserted catheters (PICCs) are accurately placed into the optimal location--the lower 1/3 of the SVC-CAJ (Superior Vena Cava--Cavo-Atrial Junction).
The purpose of this curriculum is to introduce the reader to the ARROW® VPS G4™ Device and explain the rationale behind its use.
